Why I Love Readers of The O&P EDGE
September 2009 Issue
The O&P EDGE recently sent a readership survey to a sampling of readers in the O&P community. The response rate was incredible, and I want to thank everyone who took the time to respond and provide us with feedback.
While we were excited to see all of the results, the response that stood out the most is the number of you who would choose to read The O&P EDGE if you could read only one of the three O&P industry magazines. You chose The O&P EDGE by a five-to-one margin.
What else did we learn? Clinical and technical content ranked as the two most important types of content you want to receive, with case studies cited specifically as the type of presentation you are most interested in. Our coverage of O&P industry news was a close third, with many of you citing specifically in your write-in comments our timeliness in delivering the news to you. The major trends we saw in the write-in comments mirrored the responses from the multiple-choice questions. Many of you commented about how much you like reading clinical content in The O&P EDGE, and just as many of you said that you want to see more of this type of content in future issues.
I also want to thank you for taking the time to respond to our ad-test survey at the end of the readership survey. Just like we need to know that the content we are providing is valuable to you, our advertisers need to know that their ads are effective. Because of the support of our advertisers, The O&P EDGE is the only O&P industry magazine that is delivered free of charge to all its subscribers in the United States—no membership fees, no prequalification.
These results come as we are planning our editorial calendar for 2010, so the timing could not be better. We will use your comments to make sure that we continue to deliver a magazine that brings you cutting-edge content on the topics that mean the most to you. If you did not receive the survey and want to let us know how we're doing, suggest a topic for coverage, or submit an article for publication, we want to hear from you. Please send an e-mail to .
Thank you for reading.
