The O&P EDGE  has a symbiotic relationship with O&P professionals and patient care facilities. We are in business because you are in business. As such, we have a vested interest in making sure the information we provide to you is as accurate, informative, and as helpful as possible. Though we are not expert O&P care providers, we are experts at synthesizing the complex information we receive from industry clinicians and thought leaders. Our staff and freelance editors and writers are, in my opinion, the best in O&P. Every one of them is dedicated to this publication and to the audience it serves.

I am always gratified when practitioners tell me that they read our publication from cover to cover each month, cutting out the articles that are the most relevant to them and filing them for future reference.

But over the last several years, we have been asking ourselves what more we can do to serve the O&P profession. Given the heightened urgency to justify the O&P solutions you provide to your patients, it is increasingly important for you to educate patients, referral sources, and insurance providers about what you do, and we want to help.

At last month's Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy), we launched the EDGE Custom Publications division. An EDGE Custom Publication combines information about your facility—clinician biographies, patient case studies, and other resources—with select licensed content from The O&P EDGE. The end result is a customized, targeted mini-magazine that you can distribute on a regular, scheduled basis to your patients and referral sources to educate them about your company's expertise, services, and products.

We are thrilled to be able to offer you this new service. To learn more about EDGE Custom Publications and begin building your first publication, visit our website,; or send an e-mail to . We look forward to working with you!
