More than 850 practitioners and physical and occupational therapists traveled to Las Vegas to attend the Hanger Education Fair and National Meeting, February 1-5. In addition to providing continuing education about orthotic, prosthetic, and therapeutic solutions, the conference centered on the theme "Reimagine," and was also a platform to discuss the company's business strategy and to distribute awards throughout the week to celebrate the success of employees who excelled at delivering care and service in 2015.

O&P patients, as well as other members of the limb-loss community, attended the Education Fair, including four accomplished athletes and Hanger Clinic patients who helped kick off the conference at the opening ceremony. The athletes, Jeremy Campbell, Josh Kennison, Beth Shaver, and Ezra Frech, shared personal stories of reimagining their potential despite physical challenges, and encouraged attendees to do the same.

With more than 125 exhibits and 375 exhibitor representatives, the Education Fair was packed with manufacturers demonstrating the latest in O&P and rehabilitative technology. Hanger employees had myriad opportunities to learn and network. Among the most well-attended courses were the Hanger Grand Rounds, which included a variety of current best practices and transfemoral prosthetic care. The company also held its third annual Women in Leadership course, which included presentations from senior leaders and speakers whose goals were to help women leaders at Hanger connect and engage with one another and the company as a whole. The course was opened by Vinit Asar, CEO of Hanger, Austin, Texas; moderated by Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer Rebecca Hast, and closed by Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Drew Morton. The keynote speaker was board member Cynthia L. Lucchese.

A gala rounded out the five-day event, for which FIFA Women's World Cup Champion Abby Wambach served as keynote speaker. She shared her inspirational story of how a dedicated team can work together to achieve amazing results.
