The cofounder of a mobile custom prosthetics company has been selected as the 2019 O&P Woman of the Year.

Lisa Guichet started Innovative Prosthetics in the Dallas area with six employees in 2016. The business now has offices in Southlake and Waco, Texas; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and more than 30 employees.

The award is sponsored by the Össur Women's Leadership Initiative and was presented to Guichet during Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America's (OPGA's) member and supplier reception as part of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association's (AOPA) National Assembly in September.

"Thanks to OPGA for establishing this award and recognizing women in the O&P profession," Guichet said. "The finalists are all deserving of the award and I'm fortunate to have been selected to represent women in O&P this year."
