The board of directors of OPAF and the First Clinics held an emergency meeting on July 30 and unanimously voted to reverse its May 15 decision to dissolve the organization on July 31. Instead, OPAF will go into a state of dormancy, which will allow it to maintain its name, programming, and structure while substantially decreasing operating costs. The organization does not have the funding to operate in its previous form. The board said it hopes to reorganize OPAF after the COVID-19 pandemic wanes.

Daily business will be conducted by the board of directors, who returned monies to those who had submitted deposits for First Clinics as well as all grant monies that were not spent for their intended purposes.

The board thanked Robin Burton, executive director, for her tremendous dedication to OPAF and her tireless efforts toward growing its programming.
