Ottobock Short of Pitt Schneider Debuts at Disabilities Film Festival
November 08, 2013
Ottobock, Minneapolis, Minnesota, debuted an original short film, Limitless, about Leslie Pitt Schneider, JD, RN, CCRC (ACRP), HT (ASCP), at the ReelAbilities Disabilities Film Festival in Minneapolis on November 3.
The film describes how Pitt Schneider, the manager of clinical and regulatory affairs at Ottobock, dealt with limb loss as a child and how she has since worked to achieve her personal goals and help other individuals with amputations. Pitt Schneider is also an Amputee Coalition board member and chair of the coalition's Government Relations Committee.
"[The] film was really about capturing a unique story that would have meaning and inspiration for others, not necessarily because of Leslie's achievements, but because she is living the life she chose," said Karen Lundquist, Ottobock's director of corporate communications for North America. "Not everyone will be a super athlete or have the desire for daring expeditions, but many understand the impact on quality of life that comes from sources of support such as family and the medical community."
The ReelAbilities Film Festival, which began in 2007, is the largest film festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness of people with disabilities. Limitless can be viewed on YouTube.
