New Hires Announced by East Coast

James Maceiko, of Deer Park, New York, has joined the staff of East Coast Orthotic & Prosthetic Corp. as its director of business administration. East Coast, with locations in Minneola and Buffalo, New York, is a nine-year-old company that has associations with many of the region's hospitals, nursing facilities, physician private practices, insurance companies, and through direct patient care, the company noted. 

Maceiko graduated from the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania) with a bachelors degree in economics. For a number of years, he worked as a Wall Street stock trader at several firms including: Madison Trading and Schonfeld Securities.

Maceiko is active with the Benjamin Franklin Society, a unit of the University of Pennsylvania's Alumni Association. He enjoys after-work softball and golf.

Vincent Benenati, CO, founder and president of East Coast, welcomed Maceiko by saying, "Jim has already brought about 'best practices' improvements to our workplace, IT, inventory, and billing accounts operations as our company continues to grow and build market share."

Also joining East Coast as director of clinical education is Jeffrey Bonneville, MD, Miller Place, New York.

Dr. Bonneville graduated from St. Joseph's College in Patchogue, New York with a bachelors degree in health sciences. He received his MD from the University of Health Sciences at St. John's, British West Indies. He also attended the certification program at New York University for lower extremities, upper extremities, and spinal orthotics.

Through his college years, Dr. Bonneville worked as an orthopedic technician at Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. Later, he worked in New York City's Hospital for Special Surgery as an orthotist. He was a clinical orthotist at the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitative Medicine at New York University Medical Center. He opened a private practice office in Port Jefferson.

Dr. Bonneville has special interests in clinical knowledge of the O&P field. He has studied the rationale for applications in orthotics, especially with children. He has had a focus on developmental biomechanics, modeling of bones, and re-shaping work with children.

He has been a clinical instructor at SUNY-Stony Brook's Health Sciences Center and at New York Medical College where he teaches developmental gait, abnormal gait, and orthotic intervention.

Dr. Bonneville has been the recipient of several research grants and awards in the O&P field including the Charcot Tooth Marie Association, for his study of orthotic intervention (findings published in Biomechanics Magazine).

Dr. Bonneville is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (the Academy), a Fellow of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine, and a member of the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America. He is board certified in orthotics, prosthetics, and pediatrics.
