The O&P Technician
-One or more years of orthotic and/or prosthetic fabrication experience in a laboratory or private firm required
-High School or GED required
-Certification and licensure with orthotics & prosthetics preferred
-Sound knowledge in all areas of O&P fabrication.
-Ability to fabricate structurally sound and neat O&P devices.
-Ability to demonstrate competence in the fabrication, adjustment and repairing of all orthotic and/or prosthetic appliances.
-Ability to work with chemicals and work safely with equipment and infection controls.
-Professional, effective communication skills necessary to cooperate and work with practitioners and other technicians.
