Job Description

The University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in its Division of Prosthetics and Orthotics two-year Master of Prosthetics & Orthotics Program. Applicants should have expertise in one or more of these areas: lower limb orthotics, pediatric prosthetics and orthotics, and spinal orthotics. Duties include developing and teaching clinical orthotic courses, collaborating in curriculum development, engaging in scholarly activities, participating in student recruitment, advising and mentoring students, and promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.   Among the requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution in prosthetic and orthotics, education, or master of science; clinical certification through the American Board of Certification of Orthotics and Prosthetics; and at least 3 years of clinical experience in orthotics and/or prosthetics. Must be eligible for licensure as a prosthetist orthotist (CPO) in the state of Washington.
