Job Description
Kootenai Prosthetics & Orthotics is expanding and looking for a full-time Prosthetist/Orthotist with 0-10 years’ experience and a P&O technician with any level of experience for our Post Falls, ID location. KPO is Northern Idaho’s most established P&O practice operating for over 45 years. We offer on-site full-service lab fabrication and seek motivated individuals with high clinical standards. CPO Key Tasks:
- Evaluate/ Interview patients to determine their needs
- Take measurements or impressions of the part of the patient’s body to be fitted with a brace or prosthetic device
- Work with our Certified Lab Technician to design/ fabricate the orthotic or prosthetic device
- Select products and materials for devices
- Fit, adjust, or repair prosthetic or orthotic devices
- Document all care into patients’ chart
P&O Technician Key Tasks:
- Fabrication/ Finalization of P&O Devices
- Plastic and metal work
- Prosthetic alignment & Lamination
- Basic mechanical aptitude/ machine maintenance
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management
- Proficient with patient care/ task management
- Basic computer skills
- Detail oriented and organized
Education and Training
- CPO applicants MUST be Certified in Prosthetics and Orthotics or board eligible
- Technician applicants should either be working towards or have an ABC CTPO certification
