Job Description

Prosthetic-Orthotic Associates

Restoring You to the Speed of Life

Our 40 year old outcomes-driven practice is currently seeking either a Certified Prosthetist or Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist to join our team. We have an on-site laboratory which allows us to control both quality and timeliness, using the newest technologies to maximize the potential of every patient entrusted to our care.

We are looking for a person with complimentary beliefs to our own, such as:

  • A ‘patient-first’ value system dedicated to service to others above self
  • A team player who brings skills, integrity, humility, and a consistent drive to grow and become better every day
  • A willingness to share acquired knowledge with an equal willingness to learn and adopt practice strategies and approaches that have made our practice stand out among others
  • A desire to find a professional ‘home’ for the long term and become a contributing and meaningful member of the East Texas community

The city of Tyler is an active arts and cultural community as well as being a college town with both the University of Texas at Tyler and Tyler Junior College being based here. For outdoor lovers, nearby Lake Tyler and Lake Palestine are great recreational destinations for fishing, boating and camping. The “Piney Woods” of East Texas is widely recognized by Texans as a beautiful place to visit and live. Tyler is located 90 miles from Dallas and offers all the amenities of a big city, but with a small-town feel in the rolling hills of East Texas.

Requirements/responsibilities for interested applicants:

  • Must have ABC Certification (or a minimum of board eligibility) in the discipline(s) of practice
  • Must have excellence in conduct, communication and organizational skills
  • Must possess a command of necessary skills pertaining to patient evaluation, casting, modification, fitting, delivery, and follow-up
  • Must be capable of clearly communicating design criteria to technical staff for individually-designed custom devices
  • Must be independently capable of effectively documenting patient interactions required to meet the standards of both governmental and private third party payers

Benefits:

  • Paid Vacation and Holidays
  • Medical insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Workers Compensation Coverage
  • Malpractice Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • 401(K) Plan
  • Compensation based on relevant experience
