Job Description

We are looking to hire a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to help a growing company continue the trend of maximizing patient care. We have clinics in Corpus Christi, known as Coastal Bend Prosthetics DBA Coastal Orthopedic Supply, and a Houston Clinic that specializes in Prosthetics only, known as HTX Prosthetics.

We are seeking to hire an on-site (full-time) CP or CPO for an incredible opportunity to grow and expand your career in our clinic in Houston and or Corpus Christi Texas. These clinics have talented teams that focus on the highest level of patient care. In this role, the candidate will work alongside the owner in creating quality prosthetic and orthotic devices. A systematic approach will be used to transition the candidate through various competencies with increasing levels of amputations and other responsibilities. We have an onsite fully operational fabrication facility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Patient evaluations
  • Detailed notation in Nymbl
  • Hand casting all amputation levels and for custom Prosthetic & Orthotic devices
  • Modifications, Diagnostic fittings, delivery, and follow ups.
  • Visiting hospital for evaluation and delivery of post-op devices
  • Providing support at the hospital for the staff orthotists as needed
  • Performing Prosthetic/Orthotic marketing activities which may include visiting referral sources, hospitals, clinics, and speaking with physicians and providing in-services
  • Interact with physicians and therapists about the patient’s needs and formulation of treatment plans
  • Patient and family education
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist, Certified Prosthetist, Certified Orthotist, (or board eligible) by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics & Orthotics
  • Master’s Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from an accredited university 3-5 years of experience preferred but not required
