Melissa Snell, vice president-marketing and business development for Snell Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory, Little Rock, Arkansas, has been sworn in as vice chair of the Arkansas Governor's Commission on People with Disabilities. Snell has served on the Governor's Commission since 2001, and began a three-year term as vice chair last fall. "We are pleased and proud of Ms. Snell's tireless work to support the Governor's Commission in serving the interests of people with disabilities in Arkansas," said Rick Fleetwood, Snell Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory general manager. "Her efforts reflect our corporate commitment to serving our community, our state, and our fellow citizens with the greatest level of support we can offer." During her years of service to the Commission, Snell has been active as a member of the Scholarship Committee. As its former chair, she has overseen the development, marketing, and administration of an expanded scholarship program that now makes available 15 scholarships annually for the benefit of young adults and adult students with disabilities.
