We have a patient who was amputated and his surgeon will not write him an RX for a prosthesis because the patient does not want to use the prosthetic facility that the surgeon always uses. The patient would like to use our facility to for his prosthetic services. If the patient wanted to file a complaint about this, who would he file this complaint with? This is a very odd situation and while we do not believe it to be illegal, it is certainly unethical in the sense that it is not in the best interest of the patient.
