Question: You fit a trans-tibial test socket and its a liner fit ( fabric covered liner) with no socks ( heck could be a one ply fit just an example). You plan to deliver a flexible inner socket proflex or similar flexible inner socket. Do you make an allowance during the transfer process due to the added friction of the proflex?? Durplex or vivak or other diagnostic socket materials typically do not have much friction when donning. Proflex and other flexible socket materials have friction when donning. My question is how do most clinicians/technicians account for the change in friction between these materials?
