Hello! I am curious as to what other practices are doing if you have a patient referred from ortho for diabetic shoes and inserts. Patient is diabetic, but the PCP handling the diabetic condition states there is no qualifying factors (#2 on the diabetic verification form) that apply to the patient. Confirmed with referring MD. So this makes the patient not qualify for DM shoes/Inserts under Medicare. Do you update to L3020 and L3216 and bill patient at your set cash prices? Thank you in advance for any feedback!
