The What Happens When? Pedorthic/PT Course presents an interactive hands-on approach teaching attendees what happens biomechanically from gait analysis to final completion of foot orthotics. Using a combined methodology involving both pedorthists and physical therapists, attendees will learn the mechanics of gait analysis and evaluation in a group setting. Participants will evaluate, cast, manufacture, and fit her/his own foot orthotics through a comprehensive hands-on experience using a team analysis approach for an improved learning outcome. This pedorthics/physical therapy course is highly recommended for pedorthist practitioners, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants who are treating patients with chronic or unresolved foot pathologies. Presenters for the course are Althea Schlumpf, C.Ped, Kenneth Short, C.Ped, David McGahuey, C.Ped, Shannon O’Kelley, PT and Cody Kenison, PT, Eli Wolff, PT, and Alex Zitnik, PTA.
The What Happens When? Pedorthic/PT Course has been approved for 14 hours of CME credits by the ABC, 15.75 hours of CME credits by the BOC, and for 6 MCE by the OPC (Canada).
On Friday and Saturday, morning/afternoon refreshments and lunch are provided along with a parking pass. A special room rate has been arranged with the Spokane Airport Holiday Inn for attendees.
