I have a patient who is utilizing a true supracondylar socket with socks. He has very very delicate skin and has utilized a sheath as his base layer for years. The last time we reordered his sheaths they had changed. His original sheaths had a very slick finish and provided fantastic abrasion resistance. Since then I have ordered a multitude of sheaths from a half a dozen manufacturers – so far nothing has worked.
I realize that this is a little light on information but I’m curious if anyone has any suggestions.
This gentleman has two of his original sheaths left and he is getting a little nervous.
