Prosthosis coding?

Jessica Longoria

Seeking advice for l-code/ billing a prosthosis.

We have an experienced wearer with PFFD (K3 ambulator) without a Van
Ness. The patient has full ROM at the ankle. Current prosthesis:
Conventional AFO with velcro straps and double action AFO joints attached
to a rigid foot plate which is laminated to a College Park Venture foot.
As a long time wearer, the patient wants something similiar. Looking for
suggestions for the suggested l-codes for this type of prosthosis to be
billed. Also open to ideas on how to improve functionality without
changing the system to much e.g. change the strap to a REVO system and
possibly change the joints to prosthetic joints for improved durability?
