Hip disarticulation cosmetic cover

Emily Rau

We are looking to do a new cosmetic cover on a hip disarticulation
prosthesis. The patient really likes the current cover on her old
prosthesis, which is made of a very soft foam and what looks like stocking
or fabric that’s been sprayed with pigment. A link to photos:

We can’t transfer the old cover to the new leg because it’s so fragile it
just falls apart. Does anyone have any idea where to get such a soft foam
that might be pre-shaped to fit this high up a leg? AK covers aren’t tall
enough. It’s almost like some kind of upholstery foam. Just trying to save
the lab a few (hundred) minutes. Also, any information as far as creating
the skin would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
