Protesis Imbabura formally Prosthetics for Life is looking for volunteer prosthetists and orthotists for this coming July and August. We are focusing this year on the benefits of a team approach to rehabilitation. We have been asked by the director of the P.T. program at the Technical University of Ibarra to teach a short prosthetics course for P.T students. If you think you might be interested in helping with this course and also providing patient care to those in need in Ecuador please contact me. We are somewhat flexible with the dates for the course. We provide transportation to and from the Quito airport and comfortable housing. Enjoy climbing, hiking and sightseeing in the Andes mountains and provide prosthetics and orthotics for patients who have often been waiting years for care.
