I have a long time TF amputee patient who is very particular. He had a socket made about 15 years ago elsewhere. He wants me to duplicate it. It’s a semi-rigid inner socket, with rigid outer frame with A and P cut-outs. He is a skin fit, and uses a stockinette pull-in sock. We have established a great fit but he does not like the inner plastic I have chosen/ tried to match.
What is the industry using for a fairly rigid inner frame? I think he currently has a HDPE thin (like 1/8th). It is draped, not seamed. I typically use Duraflex for my inner frames but he feels it would be too tacky when using his pull sock to don and this is far too flexible. His inner socket is smooth, non tacky, no wick marks from socks, and they used a metal green dot valve housing which has never lost suction in all this time.
If you could suggest brands and thicknesses that have worked for you in a similar case it would be appreciated.
