PRESENTATION CATEGORIES
Thranhardt Lectures are chosen from the best of the Free Paper abstract submissions. Thranhardt Lectures present clinical findings, research, statistical analysis, results, and conclusions.
Free Papers offer solutions to common problems, discuss patient and practice management techniques and innovative uses of technology, or present current research findings.
Poster Presentations provide an overview of a clinically relevant subject, such as a case study, critical review of literature, or conclusions drawn from a new technique. Review the Poster Presentation Guidelines (www.academyannualmeeting.org) and submit yours today for the opportunity to be part of the outstanding education program in Chicago. The deadlines for poster presentation submissions are as follows.
Non-student: Sept. 30, 2016. Student: Dec. 1, 2016
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All abstracts must adopt the introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion (IMRAD) format. It is not satisfactory to state that results will be presented or discussed. Each submission must include an abstract of no more than 800 words.
The Clinical Content Committee strives for a balance between orthotic and prosthetic sessions at the Annual Meeting. The submission of orthotic Free Paper abstracts is strongly encouraged to help ensure this balance.
Complete submission guidelines are available at www.academyannualmeeting.org. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Clinical Content Committee, which reserves the right to accept or reject abstracts for inclusion in the program.
