Dear Colleagues
my patient 60yrs, 5′ 1″, 200 lbs, rt TT, lt TMA, K2 with walker
Transmet amputation is very short and takes a huge rotational pressure
on the lateral 5 met. She wears a soft toe filler. Previous laminated
dynamic AFO controlled this rotation fairly well but did not allow for
great traction because it was a rocker shape and would not fit in
regular shoes.
Any suggestions to either reduce or accommodate rotational forces on
the lateral forefoot?
