Recently encountered an issue billing Medicare for a Crow Orthoses.
Medicare LCD L11527 states ICD-9 713.5- Arthropathy associated with
neurological disorders supports medical necessity. However, the
conversion from ICD-9 to ICD-10 has been met with several challenges.
LCD L33686 does not support medical necessity  for a diagnosis of
Charcot arthropathy. The conversion under ICD10Data.com converts 713.5
to E13.610 which was unsuccessful. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
