Ventral hernia support specialist needed in northern California

IFP Inc

Hello everyone,

A close family friend underwent 9 hours of abdominal surgery a year ago
at Stanford Medical Center to repair a complicated intestinal blockage
and repair a large hiatal hernia. The hernia caused the entrapment as
the stomach contents and part of his intestines entered the abdominal
cavity, pressing on his lung and pushing his heart below his stomach.
Since his surgery he has developed a *huge* ventral hernia. He is not
anxious to undergo another surgery, but the hernia has continued to
increase in size. The elastic binders he has been given have barely
controlled the volume of contents pushing through. He is looking for an
orthotist or specialist who can provide him with a well fitting
pendulous uplift support so that he can hopefully prevent further
progression of the hernia. He lives in Palo Alto and if you have any
recommendations could you please contact me? Thank you very much.
