The International African American Prosthetics and Orthotics Coalition (
*IAAPOC*), and the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Center, Inc. under the
leadership of Jack Steele, CPO invites you to attend the 2016 Annual
Meeting and Scientific Conference of the IAAPOC. The meeting will be held
the 19th-21st of May 2016 in the “Birthplace of Rock and Roll” Memphis,
Tennessee at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Downtown Memphis.
The 2016 meeting will be the twenty-sixth Annual Meeting of the IAAPOC.
Lead by our current president, Jack Steele, CO, FAAOP, of Memphis TN., the
organization is a collaboration of men and women promoting the benefits and
pleasures of Prosthetics and Orthotics to young African Americans. The
Coalition also strives to keep those in the field up to date on current
technologies and policies in P&O.
The 2016 meeting will be two days of lectures, hands on demonstrations, and
the annual meeting. Past meetings of the IAAPOC
and national speakers, and have been awarded ABC mandatory continuing
education credits. Vendors from the P&O industry will also present their
latest products and services at the meeting. The meeting is open to all
members on the P&O community and the Allied Health Field.
This year’s events will include the return of our famously exciting charity
golf outing Thursday the 19th of May to benefit our scholarship program.
The Annual Meeting will start with a welcome reception Thursday night the
19th at the host hotel. The lectures will be held Friday and Saturday.
After Saturday’s lunch there will be the Annual Business meeting.
