I googled an O&P facility in my area to try to find out who the
practitioners were. They do not have a website and very little information
came up. I found the owners name connected to the NPI for the facility so I
then searched the name on google along with the name of the city and
prosthetics. Through this search I found the VA Prosthetic Services &
Sensory Aides Staff Directory with the owners name listed as a Purchasing
Agent at the local VA facility.
The owners name was also not listed in the ABC or BOC practitioner
directory.
Could I have stumbled onto something fishy? Has anyone heard of anything
like this before?
