issues with BK

Kim A. Urban-Koppy

Happy New Year,

I need possible ideas for male BK. He is 34 yrs old, lost his leg in ATV accident 10 years ago. He is 200#s and 6’3. His stump length is 6′ and distal end is 9″ circumference. K4 and works FT out on oil rigs. He is Has continual lymphedema issues with bilateral legs. He wraps his stump every night or he can’t get into his prosthetic in AM
and wears jobst compression thigh high sock on other leg. He currently is in Unity system with vari flex foot. Starts day with zero ply and ends day with up to 16 ply.
He has inconsistent issues with fibula head area, popliteal area and medial condyle area. It gets red and does open up, like boil. If his volume stays consistent then he has no problems.
Years ago he was in suction, then pin system and now unity. Also, have tried many different liners with him through years. From Ottobock, Alps and Ossur liners.
With his volume changes he is frustrated. I was hoping the unity system would help maintain volume better but not really.
I was thinking of trying him in Revofit socket.
I’m open to ideas.
Thank you in advance.
