Hello all I’m inquiring if anyone has used Alimeds carbon fiber KAFO. Apparently it has I believe, a drop lock. I have a paraplegic who has looked at it and wants it for himself. My concerns are he has a mild flexion contraction plus the strength of this device. Plus spasms and also he’s a young, tall man. We’ve used their carbon fiber AFOs in the past. I’d rather do a conventional KAFO with step locks because of his issues coming to full extension. Stance control and other carbon fiber kafos aren’t an option because of costs for him. He’s rather set on this however. Give me your experiences and I can pass them on to him. Thank you Paula Martinek LPO.
