Hello Everyone,
We recently fit a prosthesis to a below knee amputee referred to us by a wound clinic and obtained all required documentation. When we submitted the claim, we got denied. The reason for the denial was that the physician can not treat patients above the ankle and foot since they are a DPM. If anyone has any experience with a similar situation or suggestions on how we should appeal/approach this, we would greatly appreciate it.
