Hi.
Can anyone tell me when to use L5970 – ALL LOWER EXTREMITY PROSTHESES,
FOOT, EXTERNAL KEEL, SACH FOOT? Is this just a standard SACH foot? The
code for a replacement SACH is L5971 and the base codes for LE prostheses
include the SACH foot so… can I use this as an addition to LE base codes
using SACH Foot in the wording such as:
L5100 BELOW KNEE, MOLDED SOCKET, SHIN, SACH FOOT L5150 KNEE
DISARTICULATION (OR THROUGH KNEE), MOLDED SOCKET, EXTERNAL KNEE
JOINTS,SHIN, SACH FOOT L5540 PREPARATORY, BELOW KNEE ‘PTB’ TYPE
SOCKET, NON-ALIGNABLE SYSTEM, PYLON, NO COVER, SACH FOOT, LAMINATED SOCKET,
MOLDED TO MODEL
