I have a patient with whom we see for custom shoes. He recently came to me
with a request for custom boots to use while fly fishing. He would wear
these boots over a pair of Simms waders.
The issue is that the boots would get immersed in water, and must be able
to withstand this. I’ve contacted several custom shoe companies, but they
state that since they do not sew on the soles, they do not believe that
they would hold up under such conditions. Does anyone know of a custom
shoe company that can make such a shoe?
