This female patient is 5’1″ and 255 lbs. measuring 57 inches circumference.
She rejects the LSOs I tried on her and wants a thinner support, perhaps a
strong elastic material. Is anyone aware of such a support that might fit
either prefab or custom?
Please steer me towards a manufacturer who might be able to work with me on
this.

I utilize the Ossur Miami LSO belt with the Pendulous anterior panel and LSS
(Lateral Support) back panel. I strictly use this in larger patients and
refuse anything else unless custom is indicated. You can bill this
combination as L0637 and justify due to the patients anatomy and condition.
I fit one last week and I have another to deliver later this week.
Cybertech is the first one that comes to mind. I’ve fit them on some quite
large patients.
If she doesn’t want an LSO you can try a elastic abdominal binder from
DeRoyal or an elastic LSO from Scott Specialties/ CMO. Or you can check with
Truform to see what they have. In any case make sure she pays you for it
instead of submitting.
Try Home Depot in safety equipment.

Have you looked at Hely & Weber? They do reasonable customs but also have
large OTS sizes!
See the Allard catalog and look at page 10 and 11 There is a Vission LSO
Short and a Vission LSO+. Both are perfect for pendulous abdomens, are a
very strong elastic style, and will definitely fit your patient. (go by the
sizing on the LSO+ on page 11- We have sizes XS to 4XL. The 4XL fits hip
circumference 60.5″-68.5″.

I don’t know what you need for lumbar LSO rigidity? but I have used a custom
vest support to hold up a pendulous over-flowing abdomen. I have used
Marena garment company for this. They have a garment that has double
thickness in any area where you need to have extra support. My friend there
