I wanted to update you and ask for your assistance.
Because of the petition that we told you about months ago, I have been able
to have some high level discussions with Medicare Officials….

They have not admitted wrong doing yet, however I may have found a person
of power who is willing to investigate the unrealistic prosthetic
documentation requirements. The official way to request this
reconsideration is with the LCD reconsideration process. Other people have
tried to use this process before, however it was denied out of hand. With a
high level supporter involved, the reconsideration may get the regard it
deserves.
So I need help. I am able to submit a reconsideration for DME MAC Region A
(where I live) and I have someone for region D, however I need “interested
parties” in Regions B and C to submit. This can be an Amputee or someone
who works for a Prosthetic Practice.
I can supply you with the content for the reconsideration, however I need
someone to submit, follow up on reconsideration, and forward information to
me.
