Cosmesis for adjustable ankle

MacEachen, Vincent

Dear List

I am looking for a nice cosmetic result for, specifically, an Ossur
Elation foot on a trans-tibial prosthesis.

Problems encountered:

1. use plastazote foam for leg/softer foam at ankle – unasthetic
transition between the 2 foams

2. entirely soft cosmetic foam – shape becomes distorted once a cover is
pulled over.

3. off-the-shelf silicone cover or PVC cover – creases at ankle.

What are people’s opinion on this?

Best

Vincent
