HCPCS code A7043 (Vacuum Drainage Bottle and Supplies for use with implanted
catheter) is classified as Prosthetics and Orthotics and is to be billed to
the Local Medicare Part B carrier. We are a Medicare DMEPOS provider,
providing patients with this product but we cannot bill the Local Medicare
Part B carrier as we are a “group.” Are there any suggestions on how to bill
Medicare for A7043 as a DMEPOS provider?
