Dear O&P community,
I am pleased to introduce to you a new non-profit organization called Foot
Prints Around the World. Our mission is to foster self-sustaining
prosthetic and orthotic programs to serve amputees and persons with
disabilities. To that end, we have been hard at work on a new web and text
based platform to identify all prosthetic and orthotic resources around the
world. The platform has been programed and we are inputting individual site
information.
Our platform will searches for clinics in any region, practitioners and
clinics to search for componentry distribution centers and central
fabrication facilities, prospective students to find schools, NGOs to find
partners, and improve overall access to care. We believe that this tool will
allow the O&P field to maximize our ability to help people especially in
remote regions and allow for collaboration between organizations anywhere in
the world!
In order to make this platform as complete and as accurate as possible, we
need your help. Below is a link to a form that will allow you to provide
information and location for your clinic, central fabrication, school,
support group, donation center, distribution center or other resources. When
filling out the form, please be sure to include a contact person’s email as
this will be essential to ensuring communication. Please pass this email
along to those who may not be on this listserv.
