Transfemoral sprinting replies

Paul Prusakowski

Dear list,

A number of you asked for me to share the responses that I received from the
following question:

Dear list,
It’s been a while since I have worked with a transfemoral sprinting
prosthesis and I am looking for some input.
In the past (over 10 years ago), I was using the Endolite high activity knee
frame with swing only hydraulic unit, a carbon angle bracket from Ossur
attached to the base, and the Flex Foot sprinting foot.
This time I am going to be using a Total Knee 2100 this time along with an
Ossur sprinting foot.
If anyone has used this combination, I am looking for some feedback on what
type of mounting setups you found worked best as well as what your
experience has been with initial alignment. This athlete is quite muscular
and places a very high level of demand on his prostheses.
Thanks for any suggestions and feedback. Photos would be very welcome as
well if possible.

I only received one response from Francois Van Der Watt, CPO at Ossur, who
sent me the following photos and a pdf with some basic alignment
information.

I am surprised that nobody else had anything to share on this topic.
