ONLY 2 WEEKS LEFT TO RESPOND – Northwestern University seeking your opinions about O&P research

Stefania Fatone

*****ONLY 2 WEEKS LEFT TO RESPOND*****

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you very much to all our colleagues who have taken the time to provide their opinion about O&P research. We very much appreciate it! For those of you who have not yet responded, please take a moment to let us know what you think!

The Northwestern University Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Prosthetics and Orthotics, funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), is conducting a survey in preparation for a State of the Science Meeting to be held in 2012 at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC).

The purpose of this survey is to investigate the opinions of the Orthotics and Prosthetics community (including consumers, educators, engineers, family members or personal companions of consumers, orthotists, pedorthotists, physicians, prosthetic/orthotic residents, prosthetic/orthotic students, prosthetists, researchers, therapists, etc.) regarding the direction that research in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics should take over the next 5-10 years.

If you choose to participate in this survey, we will not collect any identifiable information about you. Your responses to this survey are totally anonymous.

The results of this survey will be compiled for discussion at the Northwestern University Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Prosthetics and Orthotics State of the Science Meeting to be held in 2012, and will be presented in a report as required by NIDRR as well as at professional meetings and in publications.

It is hoped that the information gathered here will help guide future clinically relevant research in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics.

The survey is brief and will only take a short amount of time to complete. It can be found at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NUPOC_Research_Survey

The survey will be open for input until March 11, 2012.

We appreciate your time and effort in assisting us with this endeavor.

Sincerely,
Stefania Fatone, PhD
Steven Gard, PhD

P.S. Please feel free to forward this email message to anyone in the Orthotics and Prosthetics community who you think would be interested in contributing.
