Hi all,
We have a patient who passed away in the hospital before we were able to
deliver his prosthetic. I previously asked this question on here and was told to use the day before his death as date of service. I just got off the phone with medicare and they told me that because he passed away in the hospital we cannot bill for anything. This is something we had been working on for months before he was admitted to the hospital, so I am
hoping I am able to collect for something. We only billed for what we
could not reuse or return, since it was a custom prosthetic.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
