Inguinal Hernia Treatment

I have a nursing home patient with an inguinal hernia approximately the
size of a football. Most orthotic treatment options are for a mild or
moderate hernia. Does anybody have any ideas on how to treat such a large
hernia? Is there any specific device on the market that might work in such
a case?
