CMT

Carey

Dear List,
I have a patient with CMT. In the past I have had great success with Blue Rocker AFOs with custom foot orthotics to offset the stereotypical high arch.

This particular patient was born with a hip malalignment, and although she has gone through a hip replacement, she still has a 15 degree valgus deformity bi-laterally. Do you have any suggestions to address the valgus knee deformity, and the severe supination at the feet? She has weak dorsal flexors, poor balance, and compromised proprioception. Any proven outcomes would be appreciated.
