Wanted to let everyone know, and encourage you to attend the upcoming
“Navigating Medicare in 2011” seminar, taking place October 11th in San
Antonio TX. CGS is spearheading this education and they are going to be
providing in-depth information both on compliance and policies specific to
O&P. Specific to the point of taking actual denied claims and going over
those claims to identify issues and solutions to common problems that result
in denials. (Obviously, private patient information will be redacted).
Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions and get the answers, and
can bring claims from their practices to go over with the instructors.
There will be one on one time with presenters during breaks and after the
event.

While this education is being provided by Region C representatives, it will
have a great deal of value for those wishing to attend from other regions.
It is very important that P&O shows a good turnout for this event, as quite
frankly, we have the reputation of being apathetic to these opportunities
which can create barriers to O&P in other areas regarding Medicare.
