partial foot q’s

chrisj

Morning List,

I have a pt who is a trans-met amputee secondary to
trauma. We have worked through hypersensitivty of mid-foot basically feel
I a thermoplastic will be better as it allows for greater adjustability.

Here’s the question…does anyone have a nice technique for fabricating a
thermoplastic AFO with a Ca plate and adding a custom foot bed to the
device. The problem I forsee is the foot section will become rather thick.
We still hav a certain degree of over-sensativity to the mid foot & distal
met’s so it does have to provide a fair degree of cushion while protecting
the cut ends.

If you feel it would be easier to contact me by phone with
a description please feel free.
