Orthotic Miscellaneous code descriptors

We’re curious to know if anyone is successfully billing for misc items on AFOs,
and if so what descriptors are you using?  For instance, dorsum straps —
according to AOPA if the strap is attached INSIDE the afo, only then would it be
fall under the L2270 T-strap code.  But what about cases where the dorsum strap
is attached exteriorly but certainly plays a strong roll in controlling a
varus/valgus ankle?  Another example would be utilizing corrugation (plastic,
foam, carbon, etc.) reinforcements in various AFO designs for added
strength/rigidity/control.
