ANNOUNCE – P.O.C.C. – Need prosthetic socks?

Kaitlin Cash

Is your clinic, aid organization, or school in need of prosthetic socks?
The volunteers of P.O.C.C. are organizing our warehouse space and find
ourselves overrun with prosthetic socks! We have mostly wool socks, but
also have cotton and acrylic available. We have various sizes in plys1-8.
To acquire a shipment of socks, you would need only to pay for shipping,
via UPS or FedEx, and a warehouse fee of $75 for the first 50 lbs plus $3/lb
for every pound thereafter. As an example, a box that weighs 25 lbs
contains roughly 125 socks, for which you would pay $75 plus shipping.

The Prosthetic & Orthotic Component Clearinghouse (P.O.C.C.) is a
collaborative project between MedShare International,
U.S. National Member Society of ISPO
(US-ISPO), the MSPO
Program at Georgia Tech and the Barr
Foundation .
P.O.C.C. accepts and inventories donations of new and gently used surplus
P&O goods. These donations afford non-governmental organizations (NGOs), P&O
practitioners, developing world P&O schools, developing world P&O facilities
and researchers access to these goods and supplies. P.O.C.C. has recently
been involved in providing P&O goods for work in Kenya, Mexico, Tonga,
Belize, and more. Read more about P.O.C.C. and find the application to order
goods (socks or otherwise!) here .

Many thanks to those who have partnered with P.O.C.C. in the past!

Best Regards,
