2011 OPERF Educator and Student Award Programs Announced
The Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation (OPERF),
Inc. is pleased to announce its 2011 orthotic and prosthetic (O&P)
Educator and Student Award Programs.
The O&P Educator Award Program is designed to support prosthetic and
orthotic educators who currently hold teaching positions at schools
accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education
Programs (CAAHEP) for O&P education. Eligible educators are those who
are pursuing higher degrees to improve their skills as O&P instructors.
The Educator Award is a $2,500 cash grant. This year up to three (3)
Awards are available.
The OPERF Student Award Program is designed to support students
currently enrolled in a CAAHEP-accredited O&P program who have completed
at least one semester toward their degree. The award is a $500 cash
grant and this year up to five (5) Student Awards are available.
Instructions and forms for submission of applications are available
online at www.OPERF.org. Educator Award Program Applications are due
July 1, 2011 and awards will be announced on or about October 1, 2011.
Student Award Program Applications are due by October 3, 2011 and awards
will be announced on or about December 16, 2011.
