Thank you again for taking a few moments to talk by phone this morning about our new documentary series. As we discussed, I’m sending you this brief description of our project for you to post on the O&P Listserve to help find potential profile subjects.
We are developing a new documentary series for the Discovery Channel that will profile individuals who have undergone the extraordinary experience of self-amputation in circumstances of traumatic accidents.
These stories of exceptional courage and survival capture our imaginations in every way, not least because we ask ourselves ‘what would I do?’ Our series will profile people like Aron Ralston and others who want to share their story, both the circumstances of their accidents and the strength they’ve drawn on since.
