DARREL LESLIE TEMPLETON

Dear List, I have a 30 yo patient who dislocated her right shoulder anteriorly 3 years ago at the end of a difficult pregnancy. Since then she estimates that she has dislocated 50 times, and is able to reduce by herself. She does not want to have surgery due to previous negative experiences, and is working with a PT who referred her to us for a brace. The patient works for a grocery chain and must stock shelves as part of her duties. She can raise her arm safely to about 120 degrees with no load, but if she is lifting something then she is in danger of dislocating when she exceeds 90 degrees. Any suggestions for an orthosis to help this patient?I will post responses, thanks in advance for your help.Darrel Templeton COA Step Forward O&P
